Original YTMND:
press esc to stop!
Worthy spinoffs:

Esc sites, also known as Escism, involve an animated .gif image with the idea of the viewer pressing the Escape key to freeze on one frame. The original site, press esc to stop! by typogra used this concept to have viewers test their hand-eye coordination by stopping it on the "WINNER!" frame.

Although this goal is seen in some spin-off sites such as The Rating Game, many new sites used this same concept to instead accomplish viewing one specific message or image in a randomly selected environment such as in Wheel Of Morality.

However, the method of pressing the escape key to freeze the .gif image reportedly only works in popular PC web browsers. Mac users will instead need to press command+period to stop this image. To restart the YTMND, simply refresh/reload the page.
