(?x) began its life as a forced fad by the army of FPA forums, but quickly appealed to YTMND users because of its mystery and intrigue. The (?x) often replaces letters in a title, such as the "a" in hum-n.ytmnd.com. Many YTMNDers whose (?x) sites ended up on their top rated lists didn't even know what it was about! Fortunately, k0mputer eventually created a YTMND explaining (?x), thus minimizing confusion: xexplained.ytmnd.com
