A user's favorites list is a list of all the sites that the user has favorited. You can favorite a site from the site or its profile. Anybody can view a user's favorites, so don't go around favoriting anything too embarrassing.
On the actual list, a user can add an optional note for each site which can be used to explain what they like about the ytmnd. The sites can be viewed as a list by title, rating, or by the date the site was added to the list.
The former section moderator favorites was basically max's favorites list.
