Face melter sites involved an image of a person appearing to be screaming accompanied by the ending portion of the song "Highlander" by Lost Horizon. The sounds makes the person look like he is screaming the ending of the song. The first face melter site was made in March 2006 and featured Cosmo Kramer of Seinfeld, but the fad never really broke loose until July.
The ending clip has also been used for various other sites including one dew army site.
