Edit history

Because of Wikipedia's edit history, we have to cite the edit history of the article before it was moved to YTMND. The edit history can be found at /history. Messedrocker 13:02, June 19, 2006 (CDT)

Alright, the edit history is added, but warning, the edit history page is huge as fuck. Messedrocker 13:06, June 19, 2006 (CDT)
this page violates use-mention, and should keep the list of fads separate from the description of the fads.
in fact, lists in general should be put to use all over ytmndwiki:

I really think NEDM should be added to this page. There's over 21 pages of NEDM sites on a ytmnd search. Also that's not counting alot of pages that don't have NEDM in the title (like Manson's Scientology Secret). Edit. I just added it, figured you people wouldn't bitch too much. Also I left the NEDM subarticle in the misc. fads sections (but it should probably be deleted now that this is where it belongs). --Moheevi 19:03, July 6, 2006 (CDT)

There's probably more than 21, considering a lot of NEDM YTMNDs just burst into NEDM surprisingly. --Katana 19:27, July 13, 2006 (CDT)

Butt racing listed both at Fads and Miscellaneous fads. I'm kindofa YTMND n00b, is it a big fad or not? --It's Smiddle, LOL | That's GOOD! 03:10, June 21, 2006 (CDT)

Butt racing should be taken out of the most popular fads, it only has 3 pages worth of YTMNDs. Patriarch 00:35, June 26, 2006 (CDT)
It has 4 if you include the alternate spelling "buttracing", for what that's worth.  :) What is the threshold for "popular" fad status? I would count it as important, because it is readily recognizable. Also, the reason there are so few, is that they take more time to produce than the average ytmnd. The Vader "NOOO" has ten bajillion ytmnds simply because of all the morons who crop an image in MSpaint and use the same WAV and call that a ytmnd. Steben 04:58, July 13, 2006 (CDT)

"ROFL; books"

In the PTKFGS entry, it says that it can be "ROFL; BOOKS" instead of "lol, internet". Isn't it "omg, internet"? Searches: ptkfgs+omg YTMNDs (secret commie stuff will appear, but try don't care), PTKFGS+rofl YTMNDs. The "omg, internet" fad is reparodied, but not "ROFL; books". --It's Smiddle, LOL | What is Talk Page? 06:54, June 21, 2006 (CDT)

Bill Cosby

In: Bill Cosby from a fictional Kids Say the Darndest Things skit shown on The Simpsons where he asks a child what he likes to play. The child says "Pokémon," which Cosby then rambles about incoherently.

Wasn't it Family guy and not The Simpsons?

No, it was The Simpsons, from the episode 'Hungry Hungry Homer'. Funnily enough, the Cosby sample from Family Guy is the one where Cosby says 'I had an uncle named Stewie' Vitafin 15:36, July 6, 2006 (CDT)

most popular

delete the whole most populat fads section and leave a link to a most popular category with all that articles in it.

Hey, where did all the music fads go?

The "Can't break my Stride is a popular music fad. Why was it removed? Maplejet 07:19, August 4, 2006 (CDT)

...dunno It's Smiddle, LOL | What is Talk Page? 08:02, August 4, 2006 (CDT)
Ok, it was moved to category:Music, apparently, but I do not see a list there. Someone needs to clean it up or something.

category name mismatch, It is now category:songs and the link is fixed. --Ollj 03:40, August 6, 2006 (CDT)

Too many miscallaneous fads listed

I believe these need to be catogorized in a way similar to that of the tv, music, and movie fad lists, but miscallaneous might be to broad. The current list is gigantic. Suggestions? Maplejet 09:17, September 5, 2006 (CDT)

Lifespan fad

I've noticed that there's a full page of lifespan ytmnds. These sites take some lines from the muppets where 2 dudes are critiquing something and it starts with good comments to negative comments. It appears to be a fad...BUT there is something wrong. The original one was well...apparently changed by the creator to nsfw material and was eventually killed. Should I go ahead and make an article on this? Maplejet 10:50, September 25, 2006 (CDT)

Do it!--Artman40 22:40, October 4, 2006 (CDT)

Fad categories

I am making a suggestion to join Television-related fad category and Film-related fads category into one article. --Artman40 22:40, October 4, 2006 (CDT)

Arnold Schwarzenegger

I have also noticed that we have lots of pages containing Arnold Schwarzenegger. So we can call this a fad.--Artman40 22:40, October 4, 2006 (CDT)

Torrent Listings

Do you think that an External Link should be provided with the YTMND torrents? Timmah 19:16, November 11, 2006 (CST)

Fad Modifiers

I might be completely wrong but is there any place listed for fad modifiers? There are fads that cannot be by themselves and must be paired with an existing fad. Examples are "a-ha", "Nes", "iPod", and others. Cylindur[Peace, bitches.] 15:50, November 14, 2006 (CST)

Chocolate Rain returns 104 sites. Maybe choclit reihn should be listed as a fad. --xinjinbei 09:36, October 21, 2007 (CDT)
